Letters from the "War Front", is a front row seat to the unfiltered, brutally honest, and often hilarious mind of a new recruit learning the ropes. Written by my son during his time in basic training, these letters are part battlefield report, part stand-up comedy, and part "what did i just read?"

With a very healthy dose of sarcasm, colorful language, and the kind of military humor that only makes sense when you're sleep deprived and knee-deep in push-ups, these pages capture the real ups and downs of training for service. But beyond the humor, this book has a purpose. My oldest brother served multiple tours in Afghanistan and later died by suicide. Because far too many of our veterans- roughly 1 in 22- share the same struggle, a portion of every sale will be donated to veteran-run nonprofits working to prevent veteran suicide.
